These Are A Few Of My Favourite Things... (JULY)

Every month I have decided to make a list of my favourite things. They won't all be food related, but who am I kidding, most of them will be (because I am obsessed). I will be writing up about companies or products that I have used and loved so give them a go...I hope that you love them just as much!

1. Crates 4 You

Crates 4 You are a British company, turning Apple crates into things of beauty! I ordered two of the trays to display my food in, when I sell at markets (my mother also ordered two for her business- The Pantry). They were such a wonderful company to work with: always responsive, fast delivery and really friendly! I was told about crates 4 you by Dave and Nicky who own the UK Cookshop. They kitted their new burgess hill store out with a crates 4 you shop fit and it looks amazing!

My trays arrived on Friday morning (as promised) and I couldn't have been happier. They look professional yet rustic and 'artisan' (like my bread) so they fit the brand perfectly! I will definitely use Crates 4 You again in the future and I would recommend anyone to have a look at their site and order from them!

2. Badger Ale

Yummy yummy yummy I've got ale in my tummy. Badger beers/ales are produced at a brewery in Badger, Dorset (owned by Hall & Woodhouse) and they are a scrummy. My dad and I have had many debates, and taste tests (obviously), about which of the ales is better: Firsty Ferret or Golden Champion. My personal favourite is the golden champion. Having said this, there are a few varieties that we are yet to try, and trust me, we will try them! Hall & Woodhouse make a variety of brews and you can see which one 'matches you' on their website- check it out.

3. The Pantry

Well it's my mums business, how could it not be on my favourites list!? The pantry specialise in gluten free bakes but attend fetes and markets with produce from other producers. For example, a 'the pantry' stall may contain products from the pantry, soul food and Lynn Thornton's honey (from her own bees- it's amazing!). I will be travelling with mum sometimes so keep an eye out for us. My personal recommendations are her cheese biscuits, brownies or her chocolate orange cookies (known as Terry's cookies in our house). Check her out on Instagram: @thepantry_uk

4. Nutribullet

It goes without saying that I use my nutribullet more than most kitchen gadgets! It's actually getting a little old now so I may have to invest in a new one. I know they are expensive but they're so worth it!

I make so many things in it: not just smoothies. It's great to whip up some houmous, pesto or even a hot fruit coulis (I've even done whipped potatoes in it!). It's such a versatile piece of kit and after you've owned one you'll wonder how you lived without it. Added bonus: it's super easy to clean!

5. GHD

I know GHDs are 'old news' for most people but my mum bought her own pair this month! I had used my friends in the past and always been desperate for a set but the cost put me off. Mum, however, was braver than me and invested in a pair. They are the best for straightening and curling hair (I always use them to curl now)...but I'll be honest- sharing a pair isn't ideal and it can cause some 'disagreements'...so I am saving up to buy a pair of my own (could take a while).

I hope that you enjoy everything that you try on this list just as much as I have!
