To Try List...

Having written about the things that I am loving at the moment, I thought it was a good idea to write about all of the things that I want to try! It’s a fairly varied list but I’m hoping to ‘tick’ most of the off by this time next month!

Aveeno Products

Aveeno is an American skin brand that was started up by two brothers (Albert and Sidney Musher) in 1945 and it has been going strong ever since. I am already a massive fan of Aveeno Cream as it is suitable for eczema sufferers. While I don't suffer from eczema, I do get psoriasis on my scalp and around my hairline (especially when I'm stressed) With such sensitive skin it took me a long time to find a product that my skin liked, and didn't get bored of. My experience with other products is that after about two weeks of use my skin will react (in one way or another-and its never pretty). Aveeno is such a blessing, however, I have never tried any of their other products. The top three on my 'hit list' are the Positively Nourishing Purifying Body Wash, the Positively Radiant Targeted Tone Corrector and Yltra-Calming Makeup Removing Wipes. EasiYo

A Kiwi schoolteacher created EasiYo over 20 years ago and they are now available around the world and they have a large presence within QVC UK. I have admired EasiYo products on QVC for a long time but never got around to ordering myself one. I am now eating more yogurt (especially Greek) than ever so my EasiYo starter kit couldn’t be coming at a better time. I have, kindly, been sent one by the people at EasiYo and it should be here by the end of the week. I am super intrigued to see just how great the yogurt is, and to try and incorporate EasiYo yogurt into more recipes, as I will have so much of it! I’m like a kid waiting for Christmas!

Living Proof Products

I always describe my hair as ‘frizzy, Greek’ hair as it has similar qualities to that of a stereotypical Mediterranean.

I can't brush my hair when it's dry, unless I am going to use curlers or a flat iron as it just goes crazy (think Monica in the FRIENDS Barbados Specials).

I have heard so many amazing things about Living Proof and I am really keen to try their No Frizz line, and their famous PHD (Perfect Hair Day). I may try and get some travel sizes as the products aren’t cheap, but if they work they will be worth every penny!

Kenwood Mixer

In my kitchen sits my grandma’s old Kenwood stand mixer, I love it but it now sits unused and collecting dust. The beater attachment started to flake, so while the mixer still works perfectly I can’t use it. I have tried my hardest to find a replacement attachment, but it’s so old and I have no idea what the model number is (like I said, it was my grandmas). So I am looking at investing in a new stand mixer- they clearly stand the test of time! If anyone has any advise on which one is best…let me know!

Making Chocolates

In Lakeland this weekend I noticed some chocolate molds as I browsed in the silicone section. I love trying new things in the kitchen and with a marble slab in my kitchen already I am almost ready to get tempering and chocolate making. I didn’t buy the mold so I will have to do another trip to the shops but I am looking forward to making my own toffee chocolates, coffee crème chocolates and rose&violets (inspired by my favorite chocolate shop in Hove, Audrey’s). I will be letting you know how it goes and if there is enough interest I can put some recipes together and up on the blog.
